Howe Street Stairs/I-5 Colonnade
What starts off as just a good workout on the stairs (hundreds of steps), leads to a beautiful mini park under the freeway. The views are worth the workout!
Freeway Park
Right next to downtown Seattle, and over the I-5 freeway is Freeway Park. You can take a stroll through some trees on your way to the convention center. What a way to brighten up a freeway!
Pioneer Square
One of the oldest sections of Seattle, Pioneer Square has a big square for enjoying the urban landscape. You can see old buildings, take in some history, see a beautiful tribute to firefighters, and enjoy the old Pioneer Square Pergola.
South Lake Union Spraypark
Surrounded by the South Lake Union area, you can enjoy watching seaplanes take off, take part in boat races, go to a museum, or just enjoy the views.
Alki Beach
While it may not have a ton of trees, Alki Beach is a great destination if you’re looking to relax and take in some beautiful scenery.
Olympic Sculpture Park
This urban park, close to downtown Seattle, and facing the waterfront is a perfect spot to get some sun (when the sun is out). There are beautiful sculptures, and beautiful views to be had. You an also get quite the workout.
E Lee Street Shoreline End
Around Lake Washington, you can find several mini parks at the end of streets (including this one). Here you can view the beautiful lake, watch the locals (aka ducks), and take in the gorgeous weather.
Commodore Park
Commodore Park is right next to the Ballard Locks and provides a great scenic view of the locks between Salmon Bay and Shilshole Bay.
